A multifaceted personality

This multifaceted personality surely has the Midas touch. Everything that Vijit touches turns into gold. This businessman, actor, writer, husband, father who believes in charity lives a life that you might only believe happens in the movies. But Mr. Witane is very real and so is all that he does, undoubtedly a hard act to follow. 

As a successful Real Estate and Mortgage broker for roughly a decade, he has received a variety of awards for his service in the industry. This includes the Coldwell Banker Diamond Society award 2009, Coldwell Banker Gold award 2009, Homelife President’ award for 4 years in a row, Toronto Real Estate Board’s CIVIC Service award, also landing the cover of  The REM magazine. Landing in the top 6% of top Homelife agents for the region of Toronto in 2003, Vijit attributes his success to the strong desire of helping people. “Helping people make the right decisions is my aim in Real Estate and I think that’s why I am successful”, he says.  

In case the world of real estate did not keep him busy enough, Vijit is also quite involved in the performing arts. He has dabbled in stage performances, and television appearances located not only in Canada but also on the international stage of Switzerland, Singapore and Japan. His talents of course, do not end there as this well-known singer also performs with popular females artists from Sri Lanka.

You can also add writer to Mr. Witane’s repertoire. This jack-of-all-trades also had his poetry and articles featured regularly in publications in Canada, The Middle East and Sri Lanka. Added to that, his Real Estate column for   “ The Sri Lankan Anchorman” has appeared for quite a few years. Mr. Witane’s community service spans quite far as his charity assists impoverished school children in Sri Lanka as well as students looking to attend university.

In addition, the charity supports children who have lost their parents. It also supports the Moratumulle Methodist Day Care Center in Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. Vijit is a strong supporter of  the Terrequity Children’s Foundation in Canada.

Vijit uses his celebrity to help children in need and has been successful in sending many children the materials needed to have a successful educational career and become fruitful members of their community despite their adversities. 

This happily married man and father of one has had a wonderful career in real estate that has afforded him the opportunity to give back to his community and pursue his love for the arts. “If you love working with people and if you do an honest job, taking your time to understand the client’s needs, you will be successful.
